Russian President Vladimir Putin has told the governmental bodies involved in preparations for the 2014 Olympic Games that there is very little time left for building relevant infrastructure.
"I would like to warn you from any illusions that we have plenty of time. Considering those large-scale tasks which are to be resolved, we are short of time," Putin said at a first session of the presidential Council for Physical Education, Sports and Preparations for the Olympics, in Moscow on Tuesday.
"By 2013 or better yet by 2012, all facilities must be not just ready but also be tested by athletes at large international competitions," Putin said.
